Life Coaching Philosophy

Forest Gump said it best, “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’ll get.” In this life, sometimes we don’t know what we will get, because we don’t have control over everything. Everyone wants to accelerate forward on their own road, avoiding accidents, road closures and flat tires. But the truth is, there are some things in life that cause us to decelerate and/or sometimes come to a complete stop.

You see, life is a journey filled with winding roads and straightaways that guide you to your destination. Even though life is an exciting expedition, there are detours, roadblocks and oftentimes forks in the road that leave you wondering how to navigate these unexpected mishaps called “opportunities.” Traveling down the road of life can be lonely, intimating and a bit scary at times. Having a life coach to walk with you on your passage helps remove some of the uncertainty, stress and anxiety that many face on this rollercoaster.

Sometimes, we have to navigate life from a detour or a roadblock either because of our own choices or choices by others that were outside of our control. In this life, we can’t choose our parents, our childhood, where we grew up or the way we look, but we can choose to change aspects of our life. We can even change our mindset, that’s the beauty of life. We may not be able to change our circumstances, but we can change the way we view our situations and the amount of control we allow them to have over us.

My goal is to help my clients set and achieve their goals. Life coaching isn’t about me telling you what’s right and what’s wrong. It’s about you discovering your core being and belief system, and how that discovery propels you into solving problems yourself.
